Kakar mentioned that the release of PTI Chairman Imran Khan before the election is a matter for the courts to decide, and he clarified that the Chief of Army Staff supports civilian supremacy.
On the topic of the ICC Cricket World Cup being held in India, Kakar expressed his desire for Pakistan’s cricket team to perform well and bring pride to the country. He highlighted the importance of sports being kept separate from politics and noted that Pakistan would have issued visas to Indian fans and journalists if the World Cup were held in Pakistan.
